When nobody was looking, we stole a red plastic folder containing all the technical riders for the artists performing
at the Beatport stage at Movement 2008, and we took a quick snap of a page containing Deadmau5’ rider.

Deadmau5 is due to perform on the Beatport stage at Movement in two hours.

His rider is pretty interesting (if you’re a nerd) - here’s what Deadmau5 needs/requests when he plays live.

Below the list of technical stuff is a paragraph explaining how Deadmau5’ kit all connects together.

It reads: “Deadmau5 will be play using Ableton Live with the following set up.

The Monome 256 is connected to the laptop by USB.

Lemur is connected to the Mac by either net cable.

Mouse to laptop by USB.

Sound card to laptop is Firewire.

1/4” jack leads from sound card to 4x RCA leads into the DJM800.

EFX-1000 RCA to RCA into send/return.

DJM800 master out RCA to either main system or spare channel on the mixer being using by the DJs.

Deadmau5 will provide all these leads.

Also required will be 2 monitors, left and right of the set up at head height.

Monitors must be controlled from DJM800.”
